maybe Sequent, which I follow but dont own. biz.yahoo.com I do have some very speculative stocks, Viragen VRGN, General Magic GMGC, Aspect Telecom ASPT, and Malaysian WEBS--EWM, bought just yesterday rather cheaply...and perhaps an even better deal today if you want some exposure to SE asia. I also have a gold fund (Fidelity Select Precious Metals and Minerals) and even a utility fund. Most of the stocks I have picked up in the last month and are near their lows. I hope that one out of the three stocks will soar. Regarding Microsoft, I've always been surprised that people can admit that a stock is overvalued, and yet still own it--for sure people can ride the growth and do well, the stock simply stays overvalued. However, 0nce in a while fear spreads through the markets and stocks get re-valued, and yikes you dont want to be holding the PE=50's when that happens. I have wanted to play the puts on MSFT for the last year, and have held out as long as I could stand it. While I admit that I may be too early into EWM, my guess is that SE asia puts some real fear into the US market this month, and whether I am right or wrong on MSFT individually my puts may do well through next week. Of course I might not be keying this in if MSFT wasn't off $2 today so far, and did you see Hong Kong and Singapore last night, ouch! |
