VSE Teams in Five-Year Technical Support Contract

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- VSE Corporation (Nasdaq: VSEC - News) announced today that its Land Systems Division has been awarded a five-year subcontract to provide technical services for the U.S. Army M109 Family of Vehicles. VSE support services will be provided to support the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command (TACOM) at Warren, Michigan, as part of a full-service contractor team. The new STS contract includes production support, post-production sustainment, system modernization, and system improvement activities for the entire M109 Family of Vehicles. The new contract creates cost savings for the Army by combining work previously provided under three separate contracts into one team effort supporting the Army's self-propelled cannon artillery fleet. Both VSE's Sterling Heights, Michigan, and Alexandria, Virginia, offices will participate in supporting this team effort.

VSE Vice President Tom Dacus said, "We are extremely pleased to be part of the contractor team selected to support the M109 Family of Vehicles. VSE has supported the Field Artillery Ammunition Supply Vehicle (FAASV) portion of this program for over fourteen years. With the M109/FAASV vehicle assuming increased urgency for the Army, we take great pride in our past engineering contributions and look forward to continuing our involvement in this important national defense program. We anticipate an increased level of support for VSE as the program moves forward."
