10 20 08 stay in the recommended fund from Vangaurd

stockcharts.com

If you have been following this site you should have changed into the fund that Vangaurd suggested fund for your age group. It will give you exposure to stock at a rate that is comparable with you age.

That is the older you are the less stock exposure that you will have, as the younger you are the more stock exposure that you have,

I agree with this some what because the closer you get to retirement the less of a chance you want to take in loosing a large percent of your retirement.

I would like to watch for a few days how the market reacts and may switch to some stock fund as I can get a better feel of which sector is likely to outperform..

Fact is I dont think the bear market is over and think it will continue in a few months.

We should retrace about 1/2 of the loss of the bear market so far and then the down fall may continue.

I dont like being in stock in a bear market for obvious reasons but you cant make gains staying in a safety funds over the long haul.

I hope to pick up a few percentage points before the down fall resumes.

We got in on Monday and little did I know on Sunday when I made the call to switch that Monday would be a 10% up day. But it is what it is and playing the market is difficult because when things switch it happens quickly and thier is little time to get in or out.

The last week of the month is usually good for stocks historically and we will likely do well this next week.
