Mister twister, What all have failed to see is the position this puts apple in vis a vis Be. Be is now impotent unless it joins apple. Apple has not said it is done with Be. Perhaps Be will join the alliance. >What does it feel like to have such hatred for the man... Not hatred, fear, fear of the unlimited power. Even a benign person with so much power is dangerous, not only to computer users like myself (a graphics person), but to democracy. What kind of a person needs 18 billion dollars? PC's are fine for business. Macs are admittedly a machine that suits different needs. Mac heads think differently than PC heads. If Mac were to go under, with no alternative for the average guy things would get grim, very grim.
