Huh? Better check your figures since they added a HUGE number of shorts according to the last COT report. I track these religiously and update these charts each weekend when the reports come out on Fridays.

Raw numbers of longs minus shorts. Red is the NDX large plus 1/5 of the NDX mini contracts

I have these charted longer term going back to 1986 and they have never been so short excepting last year and have been adding the last few weeks to their short side.

As for TRIN, there seems to be a 1 to 2 week delay before the TRIN indicator kicks in......
