OTOT Actually, I think you are right. Didn't the CIA provide Saddam with anthrax back when we hated Iran? I read that somewhere, but don't know if it's true. Anyway, the whole idea of the U.S. propping up dictators just makes me puke. I don't mind us fighting for and then providing assistance to democratically elected leadership. But propping up dictators, Kings, etc is so misguided and short term.
