que, thanks very kindly, I see that those conversion figures lead to a slightly higher discount, about 29%. Our oil supplier was a local guy that did not offer any pre-buy deals. My wife liked him a lot because he had "rescued" her at crazy hours several times in the past when the boiler went down. I rationalized not doing any pre-buys, even though as it turned out they would have been to our benefit, by thinking that, by buying spot heating oil, I was in effect creating a hedge (albeit a tiny one) against my energy stock portfolio.
