S&W and Corteva Agriscience™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont, Enter New Mutually Beneficial Alfalfa Licensing Agreement

New agreement strengthens S&W's growth position and allows Corteva Agriscience to capture efficiencies

Corteva Agriscience™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont, today announced they have entered into a new mutually beneficial alfalfa agreement that terminates and replaces the December 2014 agreements between S&W and Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc. As part of the new agreement, S&W will receive $45 million in cash at closing plus $25 million in payments over regularly scheduled dates concluding in February 2021.

This is excellent news. Corteva will start trading tomorrow (w/ a warrant-when issued) and having this rolled up into their company is a great start for this new company (the Ag Division of DuPont).

I also plan to start a position in Corteva mentioned here by Speketalus and others a a good value play. I expect good future growth along w/ a high dividend (management will have a payout of up to 40% of EBITDA as their dividend).

I am hoping this prices around 14 PE.
