The medals stuff may or may not be jello, depends on the paper record to some extent, and Kerry won't allow that to be released. So at this point it remains he-said/he-said, and moot. JMHO.

The next attack -- I assume this is the real attack -- is about the war crimes testimony, and there's absolutely a record on that which is not jello. This is where Kerry really screwed the pooch.

He cannot be at the same time a war hero and a war criminal. Not even John Kerry can accomplish that.

Nor can he at one and the same time talk about his "band of brothers" dear to his heart, and call them war criminals. This cannot be done.

Laughing it off as a youthful indiscretion won't work, either.

He should have apologized fully and completely years ago, or else stuck by his guns.

This is not going away.

Edit: I think round 3 is going to be Kerry's own admissions that he committed war crimes, and eyewitness accounts supporting those admissions, that he deliberately torched a village and ordered animals to be slaughtered. Facing this will be his hardest task, and may well feel like passing through one of the circles of hell.
