The Windows Terminal Server/Citrix approach can be very useful, but it's not ideal for all situations. It's very handy for the following; - Allowing non-Win32 clients (Unix, Mac, Win16, WinCE) to access Win32 applications like Office 97, Outlook, Visio, etc. This also translates into allowing business to reuse those 386 and 486 PCs in the closet. - Dumb terminal replacement It is not a good substitute for a power user's PC. I've seen people try to position it as one, and it's just not an appropriate use of the technology. - Eric
