uw, I wish I could fathom how this all makes you feel. You
have my sincerest empathy.

You will do what you feel is best, but I think that your
medals & ribbons were rightfully earned. They have not
been sullied by Kerry's actions. IMO, only Kerry has been
sullied by his actions, regardless of the outcome of the
election. Those medals stand as recognition for service
above & beyond the call of duty, ET AL. They are among
many tens of thousands of medals & ribbons properly earned
by your peers who also served honorably over the years.

Kerry is a bad apple who might succeed in spite of his
questionable actions, words & deeds.

I can't help but think that throwing away your medals may
only add to cheapen them more, regardless of your intent.
Perhaps something just as dramatic could replace the loss
of those medals & ribbons.

You could pull a Kerry & make a public spectacle about
throwing away the medals, then mock Kerry in grand fashion
by throwing something else over the fence. That way you
get to shame him twice & keep those medals where they
belong.

Just a thought.
