The one that symbolizes greed and disregard for hard-working citizens is 'cheap foreign labor'. Politicians refuse to halt the flood into the US, despite the fact excessive violence has spilled over the border as well from Mexico.

Not by coincidence, the US/UK mirror a similar economic history. The world's first 18th-19thC industrial powerhouse was duplicated on a mammoth scale in 20thC USA. The relocation of the 'world's factory' from the US to the third world has not been nearly as seamless a transition, due to individual workers cultural and technological empowerment.
