This is highly unlikely. Charlie Dean is exactly the sort of blue-blood that the CIA regularly recruits for interesting assignments in obscure corners of the world. There's simply no way that I can accept the "official story" that Dean was in a war zone merely as a tourist. I feel highly confident that he had a hidden agenda that would be embarrassing to our government to disclose.
