SAN FRANCISCO, Jan 26 (Reuters) - Computer and printer maker Hewlett-Packard Co. (NYSE:HWP - news) will cut less than 2 percent of its approximately 88,500 positions in a long-planned marketing restructuring, a company spokeswoman said on Friday.

That 2 percent would involve more than 1,700 positions, although the exact number had not been determined yet, Suzette Stephens told Reuters.
