By the same token, that primitive stress caused over some cultural practicee like circumcision attaching what turns out to be such monstrous imprtance. As i said, there could have been cooler heads prevailing, but such strict dogmatic adherence & hysterical zealoutry with such percieved sin, caused millions to die...over foreskins. Trying to build all those ancient conflicts into to some mighty prophecy convergences or believing some massive supernatural events were unfolding then are sadly mistaken. People were that basic then, beyond superstitious but the Greeks tried to introduce some reason, sophistication into this mix, from the purity of Pythagorean mathematics & geometrical ideals to Platos utopia & Aristotle's pragmatic wisdom.
