The revisionism of American academia and the media on Vietnam has not yet been turned around-up to this era where few voters under 50 have even a clue where Southeast Asia is.

The Swiftboat Vets have shown a resilience against the descendents of the passionate revisionists. That guarantees that their issue will survive at least beyond the Republican convention and into the election season.

In the longer run, it will be interesting to see if the left's granite wall of Vietnam misinformation can finally be cracked. America's current survival depends a great deal on our eventual overcoming of the disability of having our history written by our domestic enemy...
