Gee Jeff, if you can share that kinda story, I guess it makes my Christmast tree lights story seem rather tame. Previously I only PM-ed it to Arno.....but what the hell here goes.
A nearly similar situation. My husband HATES to put the christmas lights on the tree. (so do I, mainly I think cause I don't have a choice...but.) This the tree was all set up and in place. The ladder is there beside the tree. I say, Mike do you think we could pull the tree back out, put the lights on and then put it back in place?? He said, "no, just leave it where it is at an we can put them on." At which point I say, "Oh fine, guess it doesn't matter to you that I need to reach around from on this ladder when my shoulder hurts.....but no, we can't take the tree out of it's assigned position, Thanks a lot." With that I get down off the ladder and walk away, nearly in tears. I went upstairs. He came up and we talked. He simply said..."Why did you ask if it could be pulled back out, if you really didn't want my opinion. You should have just said.....Mike we need to pull this tree back out, to put the lights on." Then I told him, "Well, I just wanted you to be considerate of me......<turn on tears> |
