You can add Idaho to that list. It was announced last week that our rates are shooting up also. They didn't say it was because of Calif. of course and blamed rising gas prices. This is a big joke of course because we get most of our power from hydro. Granted the snow pack is low this year so we might have problems this summer and have to resort to gas or coal. I know for a fact we ship power to Calif since a couple years ago we were knocked into the dark when a main line to Calif. went down and shorted out our grid for almost a full day and it took over a week to get back to full speed.

Of course we have some of the cheapest power in teh country but it is the idea that gets me. As if I don't subsidize enough Californians through social programs now we are going to ship them power at a discount too?
