Shades, How bout a BUD? Phil was saying buy BUD but to WAIT till it got to 46.12. As it opened at 45.15 and had only risen about ten cents even in this strong market when the run up began it was about 45.20. Then, according to my Level 2 when the run up began it took right at 3 minutes to go from 45.20 to 47.50, so if you were following Phil's recommendations you would really have to be fast on your feet. Even if you had entered an order as it passed 46.12 it wouldn't have filled till it got way past 47.50 to the high probably 48.29. No, I don't think Phil predicted this; his theory is that some of these stocks like BUD run in a channel. Back last fall his theory was that the channel was from 50 to 55. He would issue "buy" recommends at the low side, but while rising and hope a gain would accrue. It would always fizzle though, and at a loss if you used his stops. now when it is at 45 he is saying buy as it rises through 46, so I guess his new range was to be 45 to 50, still a good way to loose money. If Buffet is buying the whole company so he can take it private the fix is probably already in; if he is buying "a stake" that could mean anything but will probably help the stock. I sure wouldn't short it.

One thing interesting about this though, untill the 3 minute run up in the share price there was no suspicious movement in the price or volume in advance as there usually is, guess ole Warren kept it quiet. Listen to Phil today and see if he "claims" BUD as one of his picks. It really isn't cause there is no way you could have gotten in during the 3 minute run up. If he does he is cheating. Of course, it STILL might be a buy, but I would be careful.
