Nonsense. Its the people at the bottom who always lose the most.

Not if they cut back spending on subsidies to corporations or those who are not poor. Definitely not if the government cut back is of regulations and other government interventions that keep many of the poor people dependent on unemployed.

That's just it.......they figure they've already lost everything there is to lose. Where they live is so terrible

Where they live is much better than how most people have lived throughout history, and also better than how many people live now. And to the extent its not as good as it could be, its not because government is too small, in a number of cases government action contributes to the problems of these communities.
