IOC CENSORS BLOGS
By Cori Dauber

How's that for today's Olympic complaint? The IOC has ruled that athletes, coaches, even officials, posting first hand accounts, photos or video, interferes with the rights of broadcasters (who've paid big bucks for their rights to cover the Games.)

I guess Big Media feels threatened by blogs after all. All those reporters, all that expensive camera equipment, those high production values -- and the thought of an athlete blogging has the IOC in a panic.

Well, when you consider how much more interesting it would be to read an athlete's account without the interference of the media's insipid questions, they probably would have had something to worry about.
