Now that selective disclosure is out, after hours trading should also be eliminated.

After hours trading was implemented purely as a tool for manipulating the masses by the big houses. The mood of the market can then painted on a few shares pre/post session.

It works very well if you are a big house looking to suck in buyers, or on the flip side trying to shake people out.
