HAUNTING WORDS. SIMPLE WORDS. They cut through the simple minds of the "lowest common denominator" segment of the American public like a HOT KNIFE.
And THAT'S why the Swiftboat Vets have ALREADY destroyed the Kerry campaign for president. The LCD voters are the DEMOCRATS' hope and prayer. The domestic enemy has made an ART FORM of SCARING them with propaganda about "entitlements", and STIMULATING them with the propaganda of class-hatred and racism.
At the same time, they have STIFLED any reasonable questions about whether the nation is WELL-SERVED by these simple-minded casual citizens voting as easily as we let them vote. The MYTH of "participation": no-requirement registration, early voting, lack of literacy, identity, or residence requirements-are ALL rigged to get the mall cow and the blank-eyed idiot-led by shrewd charlatans-to the ballot box, to cheapen the process of democracy and weaken the nation.
Dedicated PRO-Americans have been intimidated from taking the field against this systematic weakening of our society. This is due to an inordinate fear of being slammed by accusations of "racism" and "special interest politics". Indeed, we have stood by while the left and the ignorant populists have succeeded in making "politics" a commonly-accepted dirty word, now used by both parties as shorthand. This, despite the historic fact that-wherever POLITICS has been eliminated-it has been replaced by despotic totalitarianism.
So now we have the Swiftboat Vets appearing, almost by accident, with a simple message that Kerry and his henchmen cannot possibly stand up to:
"If he betrayed us in the past, how can we be loyal to him in the future?"
Indeed, how can ANYONE: class-hater, racist, Social Security welfare deadbeat, young voter, or honest common citizen-ANYONE?
