I agree it has been a long painful road. I can hear the frustration in your writing, and I'm right there with you.

However, if I take the emotion out of it. I'm sure that Nokia investors and many others in the industry feel the same way about Qualcomm. They had a good thing going until Qualcomm started mucking up the works. Nokia squeezes their suppliers to get the best prices they can. Qualcomm's IP is just another cost of goods to them. They are going to squeeze Qualcomm to obtain the best price. Since they don't have the same leverage they have with other suppliers they are using other means (their only means) to squeeze Qualcomm for the best price. Although this tactic is frustrating to me, if I was a Nokia investor I would want my company to put the hurt on Qualcomm.

This is why I would like to see a settlement as soon as possible. Of course, it would have to be beneficial to both companies and orchestrated in a manner that wouldn't impact Qualcomm's contracts with other clients. All of this is possible. I just hope that both companies decide to negotiate rather than litigate.
