WC, And i dont think that a continued strong consumer alone will satisfy the fed. Tech needs to get going--the consumer will not be able to shoulder the burden of recovery alone. Add to thatthe fact that we are at war and in a war inflation will be tolerated to a greater extent than during peacetime. Greenspan is a WW2 guy. He knows that what is at stake is greater than fighting "phantom inflation" or ultimately a point higher inflation than a theoretcial target they {the fed} may have set as a target. mike
