Changes and thoughts I am observing in this little world of trading.

1. I notice like now so much price action on my BMI/supercharts on the quote screen that I no longer think the market is "closed" like it used to be at 4:00. Now the activity on my screen is so busy I think the market is still open for some time. I don't even know what the "closing price" is anymore.

2. How ironic that yesterday as Cashin mentioned was the first bottom of AOL. He said the market didn't want to see it below 59 for technical reasons and guess what happened? That told me it allowed first generation selected techs to go up. Watching the "who's who" list of those techs today.

3. They are still skinning some of the techs. Who are they? and why. I mean the more classic guys like Kana etc. of the new generation of techs.

4. There are now several shifts of trading. You pick your shift. Before market. After often gap ups of open you have to decide when to go long. Those going near close for the overnight/gap up shift hopefuls. It is very obvious the shifts.

5. The market is more a "business" now than ever providing what traders want. Traders want volitility to have multiple opportunities to trade during the day and make multiple points. The Dow is now recognizing this and hence we are having volatility in stuff we haven't seen like NVLS and such. If you are a business you want to attract new customors with what they want in attractive product.

6. They are referring to this market on CNBC as a Linda Blair NAZ.....from the exorcist. I think if we can learn to trade this we can trade anything. I remember something memorable that I heard near when I started almost 4 years ago and that was they said stocks would go more volatile toward like commodities are...I don't remember why but I was curious to see that whether it happened or not. Anyone have any macro reasons for this? I mean deeper reasons for this? I am interested. I don't think I could have easily started to trade now without getting killed as I find this type of thing hard enough with indicators and experience to play.

8. INTC beat and that is good for us if long. Good luck to all tomorrow.

9. Blessings to all here

Autumn
