PLUNGE PROTECTION TEAM? Sure looks like their DNA yesterday. blog.forensicwealthbuilding.com Near the end of a market dropping on fundamentals and all of a sudden it isn't. Classic short squeeze. The PPT wants the market up to perpetuate the notion that an up market and other seemingly good news suggests we are bottomed and better. They buy some futures and cause a short covering rally. Empty in calories but makes the news none the less. That's because the news media wouldn't know a short sale or a short squeeze from a short person or a lemon squeeze. Apparently the financial press is no better. Look at the Cramer controversy. They show endless clips of him saying to do something that comes out dead wrong. You can't get financial news from the news. In fact any news is suspect. You have to decipher it from spun data with a dose of unspun data. It's like making a Pina Colada with bad cream. Enough booze, who cares. Can I prove the PPT was on the loose? No. Can anyone prove they weren't? No. When it waddles like a duck, and quacks like a duck, its probably an f'ing duck. (F'ing for flying of course.) The PPT was supposed to intervene, I mean meddle, in a market in free fall. Now they meddle in anything, anytime, anyplace, anyway, anyhow.
