I agree that when the applications are going to be modem centric like a set top box that makes sense. But it seems like a solution only for performance insensitive applications like network computers. I would consequently expect that you are looking at about the same market share as nc's enjoy, which is not big at this time. So it's a little like Pac Tel providing a lowest common denominator, which may be just fine for their objectives. However, it is a little disingenuous to hype this as they have in their release that this is a great low cost solution. (Don't those long wooden noses ever get to be a problem at their staff meetings?) Since this message is coming to you via a 52kb x2 connect, my vote is already for performance.
