The term asault weapon did not even exist until California legislators had to define the term in the ealry 1990s. The ban on MANUFACTURING OR ASSEMBLING assault weapons ended therefore the phony made up politician definition ended as well except for California, New Jersey, Maryland and Illinois and Massachussets Hawaii and New York.
