And btw, I find some of your comments quite refreshing. I really enjoy your subtle humor.

On this point we agree. Changing the debate to Kerry's Senate service will be a plus for GW. Regardless of whether the discussion centers on his 75% AWOL time or, as you point out, the votes he cast when he did show up for work.

Kerry has masterfully used his Nam record to achieve great personal success. He has hammered many opponents with that don't question my service, it is a matter of Navy records line. A non-nam vet would be hardpressed to counter. This time the Nam Vets have formed a skirmish line and dared Kerry to challenge them. I believe for the first time in his life Kerry has avoided a direct confrontation with someone questioning his service because he cannot answer the questions being posed without committing political suicide.

The Swiftees are being led by officers who are highly trained and highly skilled in the art of war. Lacking that training neither Kerry nor his staff has won a single battle with the Swiftees so far. I doubt they will. The only tactic they know is to bully. That worked in the past...but trained and skilled warriors do not fear bullies.

So far the only Demo national figures we have seen supporting Kerry in this are all drawing paychecks from his campaign. If we don't see some of the Democrats National leaders, the big guns, on the talk shows tomorrow supporting Kerry, I will be convinced he is finished.

The mere fact that he is calling old servicemen, he knew 30+ years ago, men he hasn't seen since, tells me he knows the situation is desperate. His refusal to be interviewed confirms it.

I have been saying the book is so doggone thorough and so well documented with easily checked references that Kerry is in a box. That box got a lot smaller when he and his staff admitted the Cambodia lie and then attempted to trump it with an even bigger lie. That has not washed anywhere. The few bad blogs I have seen have been written by bloggers who have not read the book. Some even admit that in their writings. They will be embarrassed later when they learn their assumptions and presumptions are wrong.

The only hope I see for Kerry is if his promise to play Robin Hood and take from the rich to give to the poor motivates enough of the have nots to vote for him. the question they have to resolve is whether or not Kerry is lying to them too.

I don't know if Kerry will win or lose. I do know that any questions one may have about his honor and integrity are resolved by reading the book.
