I know what they are supposed to mean, but you can find them on most every chart somewhere where they haven't worked out. That's why I say they are often spotted and seldom usable. The ones that work are the ones that get publicized. The ones that don't are soon forgotten. A head and shoulder top doesn't break down until the right shoulder breaks the support from the left shoulder. Which is usually a sharp drop and a long ways from the head (highs). All it does is tell you it 's too late to sell at a decent price. Pennants and flags, same thing. Seems like as many go up when they are supposed to go down, vice versa, or even sideways once they break. If you can predict future movements with them please post! I'm not proud.
