Found this at Scitex: Looks like an entirely new technology for processless plates. scitex.com CTP Technology demonstration IRIS Graphics will show at Print '97 a prototype platesetter based on the company's multi-award-winning continuous color inkjet technology. The IRIS CTP system, scheduled for launch by mid-1998, creates metal printing plates directly from digital data by spraying fine droplets of a proprietary fluid onto aluminum. The plates can then be mounted directly onto a printing press without any processing.
