Hi James, you wrote, " He does not want me to be a doormat to those that seek to destroy His Word. I welcome any correction by you, my brother."
I agree with your post. I hope I didn't give the impression that we should lie down and get run over. But, you know, thinking about, wasn't that what Jesus did? Of course He was God on a special mission. I don't know , it gets to complicated for me. I'm just trying to live as He leads on a daily basis. About the correction, I'm not real good at that. I just like to see peace and harmony; I know it won't come till Jesus does. If disharmony grieves us, can you imagine what it does to the Holy Spirit. You know Jesus warned us of hard times ahead and said in effect that these things must needs be. I think we are all guilty in a way. This world order puts us in a situation where when we help some, we hurt others. It's like a football game; one team wins and is joyous; the other team losses and hurts. Both played a good game. This applies in many areas of life. It seems like a seesaw, when one end is up, the other is down.
Change the subject. I received an email from a person who reads the posts here. Here is patr of it, " I truly enjoy your posts at SI and at one time was afraid that you had left. I've also recently enjoyed Mr. J. Garrett's posts as well and hope he will continue to be very present on the thread in the future. The both of you seem to have something very special about you with regards to your relationships to the Lord. "
Man, this type of a response will make your spirit take wings. What an uplifting comment. May God bless him, he blessed me.
In Christ,
