IRVING, Texas, Sep 11, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- PopMail.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: POPM), a permission and affinity-based e-mail marketing company, today announced it has launched its ENewsNotifier(TM) (ENN) affinity fan club e-mail service for the NHL's newest team, the Minnesota Wild. Fans can sign up for the free service to receive press releases, ticket information, 10,000 Rinks and community relations events, special merchandise promotions and discounts all via e-mail by clicking on the Wild e-mail newsletter link located on the Minnesota Wild homepage at wild.com . The Wild join over 80 professional sports teams utilizing the ENN service to build a relationship with their fans, generate revenue and lower marketing and sales costs. The Wild will launch a comprehensive marketing campaign to their fans to promote the new service and plan to use ENN as a key part of their sales program for their first season. The service will be the primary communications vehicle when the team announces the start of single-game ticket sales today and will be used throughout the year to promote ticket initiatives and other special offers. With the addition of the Wild as the 12th NHL team to begin using the ENN service, PopMail has captured forty percent of the NHL market in twelve months. The addition of the Minnesota Wild increases combined revenue from PopMail's clients in the NHL by almost ten percent, representing fifteen percent of the revenue from all sports teams combined. PopMail considers the remaining eighteen NHL teams a strategic focus area for future revenue growth. Bill Robertson, Vice President of Communications and Broadcasting for the Minnesota Wild, stated, "ENewsNotifier(TM) gives us a powerful outlet to provide our fans with the most up-to-date information on the Minnesota Wild and the team's home, the Xcel Energy Center. We plan to use the service to build excitement around the team now and throughout the inaugural season. We see ENN as an extremely efficient and powerful tool to communicate with our team's supporters and PopMail's proven track record in the sports industry made them an easy to choice to be our partner." Scott Hull, VP Sports Division for PopMail.com, added, "We are extremely pleased to welcome the Minnesota Wild and the Xcel Energy Center as a client for ENN. The strength of our products and services has allowed us to carve out a dominant position in the National Hockey league and indeed in all of professional sports.
