rudedog...Compaq....

We measure CPQ as a company and or as a stock.
The quality of both do not always run parallel on the short term.

Presently, I do not see how Rosen is doing anything to help the
value of either. (This doesn't mean that nothing is happening)

I am very interested to understand Rosen's motivation.
A 65 year old who has relatively little vested interest
in CPQ (compared to other heads of tech companies), who
appeared to have neglected his responsibility to shareholders
in the last two years. (A CEO is not responsible to
shareholders directly)....and who apparently said he was
a hands off chairman (through a DEC merger?) and now will
be hands on?.....

<...a director, or chairman, has the right, duty, and liability
to be involved and informed on behalf of the shareholders as
to a corporation's status and progress.>

It is inexplicable to me that so little news is available
on a company that is so broadly held, highly traded, and
where institutions should have much clout because management
controls relatively little stock.
The quarter is almost over and all we have learned is that
there is a major exodus of management and CPQ has 5
dress down days a week.

The exodus of management will damage the "strategic partner
relationships" CPQ has and is negotiating with vendors and
customers due to the fact that the partners do not know
which management will in place to maintain those relationships.

We haven't even seen that CPQ has gotten back to anyone concerning
answers still owed from the shareholder meeting.
Worse than the Worst Case Scenario?

Being in Houston, having contacts, any thoughts or news as to
the above concerns?

Did anyone hear Pfeiffer saying "I be back"?
