Yeah, aren't they a little late to the party? On another note, a high Japanese official said Japan might have to start selling T-Bonds, then there was a quick recanting, oh no, we wouldn't do that. Meanwhile, the WSJ is reporting that private Japanese institutions are conceding that they may have to give in to the "temptation" to sell some of their holdings. The Japanese market rallied today on the announcement of a $77 billion rape of the taxpayer that still has to get through the Diet. Any room for disappointment there? The Fed meets next week, facing the possibility of heavy selling of T-Bonds and the return of "irrational exuberance" to the U.S. markets. Analysts give only a "10%" chance of a rate increase. What if a liitle preemptive nudge up would give everyone a wake-up call. Nah, it'll never happen. :-D
