Arnie, thanks for your views. I'm trying to reason this scenario (MM's) the whole way through. You've given me some more to consider. One loose string, still, at this point: when the market maker sets the bid, he also sets the ask - and the spread can't be too phenomenal. So, if the market thought the ask (now below $24) was fair, buyers would rush in and push the price up. Or not?
