PT, Iraq has been under stiff sanctions for 12 years. Syria was naive to think that their would not be a push to remove Saddam if he did not cooperate. "fullscale death and destruction" Full scale death and destruction is far from what the US is inflicting. It is terrible that citizens are dying, buy you have to admit that the US is attempting to reduce the damage and death as much as possible. there was a piece on Fox last night showing portions of Baghdad where there was no evidence of war at all... As far as the UN is concerned, it has been a flawed organization since it was formed. It is the perfect successor to the League of Nations that sat around watching Hitler massacre millions and conquer most of Europe.
