The little guy doesn't have a chance if he invests foolishly (e.g. tries to use technical analysis, purchases options, day trades, takes advice from self proclaimed "insiders", purchases high P/E momentum stocks, only buys popular glitzy momentum issues, etc...)

On the other hand, if he simply throws a dart at a board and buys into a portfolio of 10 to 20 stocks with low P/E ratios, strong earnings, and solid growth over the past few years he is all but guaranteed excellent long term results.

Buying IOMG at 45 or 35 wasn't an investment. It was a horse track bet at long odds.
