He's written many columns arguing for deficit spending, but he rails on Republicans because no policy he supports has even a small chance of passing because of Republican obstructionism. Makes sense to me. If you believe in his ideas (which I understand you don't), of course he should be blaming Republicans. They're the ones that vote against his ideas.

Um, we're in at least two wars right now. But it's good you should notice; without those wars, our deficit would be about 2/3 of what it is now and our debt would be like 15% smaller. And I remember telling y'all back in like 2004 or 2005 that we might end up with credit problems if we blew out of our deficit with irresponsible spending like that.
