Well they will soon have to replace your entire ceiling. There is something you can do to prevent this .....though you may choose not to and let them pay for their stubbornness. Drill a hole into the ceiling where you think the biggest problem lies. Put a bucket below to catch the resulting flow.This will allow the water to drain out rather than lay on the top o the plaster/drywall causing damage. Getting the water out as soon as possible is best. Otherwise you may see big chunks of ceiling either fall or start to sag in other parts of your apartment.
