I originally posted this on the Fool board. It was a follow-up to a channel check I had conducted last Saturday. Note, your last post could have easily been used to summarize my findings as well. Nice bit of triangulation.

Reasonably positive channel. check, though a bit slow in places. Seems consistent with what I've been seeing on the board. I think we've clearly got a success, but not the smash some were hoping for. FWIW, I added to my position today. Quest has met my expectations, and I think the best is yet to come for this company.

Five or six left from original 35-40. "It's a good game. It's been selling." Me: "Wow...it's really moving...how does that stack up against other top sellers." EB: "For the 64 it's one of the best sellers right now along with the baseball game."
Update: Four left. Not sure whether or not there has been a reorder since my last call.

12 left from original shipment of 36. "It's doing really well."

Update: 10 left. Sales are weak. "Couldn't recommend it. For a menu driven RPG its really childlike. If you have a Playstation there are much better RPGs out there."

Sold 10, no idea how many they started with. "Dude just bought it...said if you like Final Fantasy, you'll like this one."
Update: Seven left. "Selling pretty quick." He had no idea how many they had originally gotten it, or how many they had sold.

30-40 left. Had twenty people on sign-up list and estimates most have bought already. "Lots of people have been asking for it."
Update: "More than 10 left. Should be enough to last until Wednesday. Not as hot as other games like Goldeneye, that caliber of game, but its selling OK."
Toys R Us, Century City (310-398-5775)
40 left. "Have another case in the back" (inclusive in the 40 quoted). "Came out recently so selling quite well. Who are you? Why are you asking all these questions?" ;)
Update: "12 left. Not sure when we are getting more but we will get more in soon. Selling pretty good."
