msft makes 90% of their profits from their os and office suite and the office suite only works on their os.

Mac Office X users would be surprised to learn that!

Of course, if MS Office were a separate company, there would probably also be Java and Linux and Palm versions of Office available for purchase. They would quite likely make a lot of money too. But that will never happen (which is bad for consumers) unless the States prevail in their antitrust case against MSFT.
