Recent Ratings.
I just did a little research on CIB this afternoon, in June 24th 1998, edition of S & P's Credit Week. They described the current situation, which they felt would not be much of a problem for the larger and stronger institutions. They rated; BanColombia, Banco Ganadero and Banco de Bogota, BBB (actually BBBpi to be precise).
Additionally in the July 8th edition of Credit Week they discussed their perspective on the election of Andreas Pastrana as President.
Also here are the Short interest numbers, as found in Barron's,
