Press Release: PRINCETON ANNOUNCES BOARD CHANGES
VANCOUVER, Feb. 12 /CNW/ - Princeton Mining Corporation announces the resignation of two long time directors of the Company. Winslow W. Bennett and James C. O'Rourke resigned from the Board of Directors on December 31, 1997 and January 31, 1998 respectively, both for personal reasons.
Mr. Bennett had been a director of the Company since 1988. His extensive board experience and background in mining enabled him to make a valuable contribution to the organization over the years.
Mr. O'Rourke resigned from his position as a Director and Chairman of the Board at the end of January. He had previously been President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company until his retirement last February when William H. Myckatyn took over the position. Mr. O'Rourke is a mining engineer with 33 years experience in the mining industry. His contribution to the Company and, in particular, to the Huckleberry project has been considerable.
The substantial contribution of both of these founding directors to Princeton has been very much appreciated. Robert A. Watts, also a long time board member, has been appointed interim Chairman of the Board. It is anticipated that the Board will be reconstituted in April with the completion of an arrangement between Princeton and Imperial Metals Corporation that will combine the two companies, a transaction announced earlier today.
