Dave....this merger will be different because the extreme detail of the merger plans. (probably forced by Wally's questions about the merger). Where as CF was a lightening rod employee anger, MC is just the opposite. His employees rally about him. This has to be an example of the good cop bad cop routine. >>>Merger or Acquisition<<< makes no difference. The Titanics have sunk and these are the passengers on the last life boat. Which employees are going to dominate? Lots of talent on both sides. I expect the cream to rise to the top. There is too much at stake to let the back biters mess things up. This merger also creates a lot of advancement opportunities that had not existed prior to the merger. The conference call from HPQ next week may surprise a lot of you. Me...I'll be buying some Jan. 03 calls at the 20 strike. Has it crossed your mind that while ORCL, SUNW, CSCO, DELL, INTC, IBM and others are racing downhill....HPQ is bucking the trend ?
