I also read the Tower report on Security First Network Bank. They don't charge the customer for the electronic checking service. And since they get customers who have Internet service, these two factors probably account for the high percentage of electronic checking. But as more and more people use the net regularly, I believe this will take off.

I am a BankAmerica customer who uses Checkfree. The SFNB service looks better, provided I can get widely available free ATM access to deposit checks and get cash. I will explore further, but in spite of the free electronic checking, these are two serious limitations.
