Jews were depraved savages who wandered into a Greek library about 250 BC.......No, i stated clearly that the process of becoming more literate finally begins with exposure to the far older, organized civilization of Babylonian culture 550BC. Greeks don't come into the picture till after but we see those effects are truely massive, as everyone knows but you apparently.

The Jewish Virtual Library says exactly this about the core majority intelligentsia & Hebrew elites that chose to remain in Babylon that were preeminent in shaping Jewish thought more than any other time, until Hellenes.
