Just about any job at all would be welcome here ... been chasing down two or three deals that keep getting more tentative and more delayed, nobody wants to spend any money and the price of logs is so ridiculous it's out of the question to fall a stick ... fiddling around fixing up house and outbuildings but that's perennial ... taking care of my daughter, four and a half, that's the only thing that feels useful really ... it's not just the money you get from work, although it can be pretty crucial too, it's the fact that when you don't have a paying job it's like society does not value your existence, you have no place in the world ... driving a delivery truck would be perfect for me right now, bopping around handing people stuff, put a smile on their face, chat them up a bit Deflation in a north american context would be deadly ... millions of young guys with no jobs, hmmm where does that get you ... there are people in the habit of hoarding cash at bank looking forward to this situation, but do they have any real idea of what they wish for [edit] - Dr Copper may be hinting at a more hopeful future
