There are guys who are obviously more successful than Steve Jobs. Bill Gates is an obvious example. Facebook Zuck too.

But neither of them will have the halo effect of Steve Jobs. And it should be obvious why. Apple really is that good.

I was slightly bemused by the negative reactions to the iPhone 4S announcement. So it wasn't a revolutionary iPhone 5 that people were expecting. Truth is, the iPhone is one of the highest-quality devices I have ever used. I recently switched to a Motorola Droid Bionic, which will probably be the #1 competitor to iPhone 4S. Feature-wise, Bionic will probably be rated a little higher than iPhone 4S, but I have been less than impressed by the user-friendliness and the piss-poor battery life of the Bionic.

Truth is, Apple's shit just works. Period.
